Positive Directions (PD) officially launched its program in the fall of 2000 to include outside educational counseling services to students and families. After working a few years as a Guidance Counselor in Delaware, Sheree was inspired and needed to expand her counseling services. During this time, she saw many families who expressed their need for additional counseling services outside of what was being provided during the day. With that in mind, she began to develop this company that would provide a wider variety of services (Student Intervention Services) to children and their families during the day, including some evenings and weekends. Positive Directions officially ended services this past June 2023.
Positive Directions II, LLC (PDII) was formed in 2008 and provided the same services as Positive Directions. Effective October 1, 2023, Mrs. Jenee Tasby assumed the role of CEO of Positive Directions II LLC. The focus for PD II, LLC continues to work with students considered at risk for exhibiting negative behaviors. Every attempt is made through intervention services to redirect a student's behavior so that they learn more positive ways to manage conflict. The Christina, Brandywine, Colonial, and Redcay District programs all fall under Positive Directions II, LLC.
